Alternating Hammer Curls
Biceps
1. Start by holding one dumbbell in each hand.
2. By keeping your elbows into your sides, or slightly in front of you, raise one dumbbell to about shoulder height.
3. Bend at your elbow and engage your bicep in order to the curl the dumbbell up.
4. Control the movement as you lower the dumbbell back down and then repeat on the other side.
- Notice the position of the hands. For Hammer Curls, your palms are facing in, not up.
- Squeeze your biceps at the peak of the movement.
- Keep your core engaged stand up straight.
- Avoid swinging and using momentum to move the weights.
