Arnold Press Thrusters

Full Body, Shoulders

These are very similar to our dumbbell thrusters, however we perform an Arnold Press rather than a Shoulder Press.
1. Start with your feet about shoulder width apart. Have one dumbbell in each hand and raise them to about face height.
2. Bend your knees to perform a squat.
3. As you raise back up to stand, open your arms to bring the dumbbells to the side of your shoulder and then press the dumbbells straight overhead.
4. Lower the dumbbells to shoulder height and, using your shoulders as a pivot point, bring the dumbbells back in front of you.
5. Repeat the exercise.
- Use the power from your legs to help push the dumbbells up overhead.
- Push out of your heels for the squat.
- Keep your knees in line with your toes.
- Keep chest up and core engaged. Don’t hunch over.
