Assisted Tricep Dips
Triceps, Chest
1. Start on an Assisted Tricep Dip Machine. This machine may have you put your feet on the assistance platform (shown in video), or your knees on the assistance platform.
2. Find a resistance that works well for you. Note, unlike most machines, the higher the resistance, the easier the exercise becomes.
3. Start with your arms fully extended with your body as straight as possible and feet (or knees) on the platform.
2. Bend your elbows to lower your body down. We are aiming to make a 90 degree angle in our elbows.
3. Use your Triceps to push back up and extend your arms in order to return to the starting position.
- This is a tricep exercise; however you may also feel this in your chest. Your chest is one of the key secondary muscles being used for the movement.
- Engage your core and keep your body as straight as you can. (You will inevitably lean slightly forward).
