Box Jumps
Legs, Cardio
1. Stand in front of a box.
2. Bend your knees to a squat position.
3. From this squat position, jump both feet onto the box.
4. Land with bent knees in a squat position, and then stand straight up.
5. Bend your knees, and jump backward off of the box.
6. Land in a squat position.
7. From this position, we can repeat the entire exercise.
- Keep your chest up and core engaged.
- Always land through your toes with soft knees.
- Make sure to land in a squat on the box, and then stand all the way up. This will complete the full rep. If you do not stand all the way up, you will not have completed the full movement.
- You can step down from the box one foot at a time if jumping backward is something your are uncomfortable with.
- The starting squat on the floor does not need to be a full deep squat, however, we do need to squat down enough to get a high jump.
