Shoulder Press Machine
Shoulders
1. Start on a seated shoulder press machine.
2. Press the handles straight overhead, but try not to lockout your elbows at the top of the movement.
3. Slowly lower the handles back down to the starting position.
*Note: There are many different types of Shoulder Press Machines. This is a "Hoist" Machine which uses part of your body weight as resistance, which is why the seat is moving. The general movement of the shoulder press is the same on all stationary machines; however some handles may have your hands facing in toward each other (like this one), or facing out so your palms are both facing forward.
- Engage your core and do not arch your back.
- Push straight overhead using your shoulders.
